Position Summary:  The Recruitment and Relationship Manager serves as the first point of contact for recruiting on-campus students into Bellevue University degree programs.  This position is responsible for promoting, managing, and conducting outreach efforts to a diverse array of populations, with a strategic focus on the Latino Community. Using effective marketing sales techniques, the incumbent will engage prospective students in a dialogue using approved promotional presentations and communications to assist individuals in all phases of recruitment.  The incumbent will manage a recruitment territory, establishing and continually developing business relationships with key staff and influencers in the high schools and other organizations that work with potential Latino students. This position also provides school-based outreach and programming for K-8 audiences, supporting University strategic efforts to promote post-secondary education within the Latino and broader community.

 

 

 

Essential Functions:

 

Recruitment

  • Collaborates with University leadership to align recruitment goals with enrollment targets.
  • Assists in executing a strategic recruitment plan to attract a diverse and qualified pool of Latino students to the University.
  • Develops long-term relationships with influencers at high schools within their geographic zone of responsibility and other community organizations or educational partners serving assigned populations. 
  • Coordinate and attend recruitment events, including college fairs, information sessions, and community outreach to showcase the University’s educational offerings.
  • Facilitates and arranges campus tours for prospective on campus students and influencers through customized group experiences.
  • Conducts presentations and markets educational programs/services for students and key influencers to provide information on Bellevue University educational products and services.
  • Collaborates with various areas of the University, such as Student Life, Academic Services, Operations, Marketing, etc., to ensure successful execution of outreach activities and programming.
  • Works closely with the admissions team to ensure a seamless student experience from recruitment to admissions stages.   
  • Identifies opportunities for increased or improved marketing and outreach efforts within assigned responsibilities.
  • Uses data and analytics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • General regular reports on recruitment activities and outcomes to University leadership.
  • Work with leadership to manage the recruitment budget effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to achieve recruitment goals.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities for recruitment and outreach personnel.   
  • Maintains current understanding of industry trends and developments that affect the market.

 

K-8 Outreach

  • Plans, executes, and promotes experiences and activities targeting the K-8 audience with the intention of informing them about Bellevue University, introducing and encouraging post-secondary education opportunities, and promoting the strategic initiatives of the University.

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in planning new freshman orientation programs and services.
  • Supports the creation of a supportive and engaging student experience through events and activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities

 

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

 

Experience: 

  • Minimum of two (2) years of recruiting or enrollment/admissions experience preferred.
  • Relationship management experience in the education industry with an understanding of student buying lifecycles.

 

Other Requirements:

  • Bilingual Spanish/English required
  • Ability to network both internally and externally to build strong relationships in high schools and communities.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the tact needed to facilitate relationship building program implementation and problem resolution.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) required.
  • Detail orientation and good organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated presentation development, presentation and influencing skills.
  • Maturity of judgment under pressure/ability to resolve problems without delay and/or to seek managerial intervention.
  • Flexibility and the ability to operate under stressful, time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain strict level of confidentiality in the handling student information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of team.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the University’s insurance company.

 

Computer Skills:  Proficiency in using PC software, including word-processing and spreadsheets.

 

Certificates & Licenses:  Possess valid driver’s license and ability to be insured by the University’s insurance company.
