 Legacy Coop is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Operations Manager to join our ENERGY team in Kimball, Nebraska.  This role is a great fit for someone who can manage employees, enjoys customer service and problem solving, and has working knowledge of profit and loss statements and budgets.  Knowledge of "energy" is a plus but not required.  

The FULL-TIME position comes with Legacy Coop's excellent full-time benefits package including competitive pay, vacation and sick time, retirement, and paid holidays.  This position is IN-PERSON so the ideal candidate would live in or near Kimball, Nebraska.

RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:

  • Supervises all tankwagon and bobtail drivers
  • Interviews, hires, and trains drivers
  • Evaluates performance
  • Addresses complaints and resolve problems 
  • Confirms that all tankwagon/bobtail paperwork is completed accurately
  • Monitors sales transactions to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods
  • Reviews monthly P&Ls for budget compliance, making necessary adjustments
  • Responsible for inventory management
  • Ensures all safety, health, environmental, and security standards are met 
  • All other duties as assigned by Energy Division Manager

EDUCATION

One to two years of related experience and/or training or education in related field.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSE, REGISTRATIONS

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with the ability to travel.  Postion is IN PERSON so must live in or around Kimball, Nebraska.

 

TECHNOLOGY AND TOOLS

Ability to use advanced mechanical equipment and tools; ability to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and ACTIVANT Accounting software for all financial transactions.  

 

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of customer and personal services, mechanical, engineering and technology, administration and management, sales and marketing, and computers.

 

SKILLS

Judgment and decision making, instructing, equipment and maintenance, troubleshooting, active learning, critical thinking, reading comprehension, active listening, installation, equipment selection and maintenance, time management.

 

WORK ACTIVITIES 

Work activities performed on the job include operating vehicles, mechanized vehicles, or equipment; getting information; updating and using relevant knowledge; documenting and recording information; repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment; inspecting equipment and materials; making decisions and solving problems; and communicating with supervisors, peers and subordinates.
