Department/Position Details:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements, including recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, and analyzing data.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors during semi-annual audits and assist in audit-related tasks.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy in financial transactions.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance to junior accounting staff and support their professional development. Assist in reviewing accounts payable documents for accuracy and compliance withing the general ledger.
  • Comply with safety activities, policies and procedures and regulatory requirements such as OSHA and The Joint Commission.
  • Employee is responsible for all other duties as assigned for which competency has been demonstrated

Position Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification preferred.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of overall accounting experience is expected for this role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Candidate must have an understanding of multiple accounting system modules and their impact on the organization's overall financial performance.
  • Strong computer skills required in Microsoft Office Suite of products and GL systems.
  • Healthcare Experience (Preferred): While not mandatory, experience in the healthcare industry is advantageous due to its unique financial aspects

Physical:

  • This position is classified as Sedentary Work in the Dictionary of Occupational Titles, requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (up to 33% of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (33%-66% of the time) to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
