About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the day-to-day activities of its full-service hospital. The COO will be responsible for a wide range of operational and financial tasks, including revenue and sales growth, expense control, and financial goal management. This role involves coordinating with various departments for facility and program planning, budget preparation, and ensuring the hospital meets regulatory and quality accreditations. The COO will also play a key part in physician relations and recruitment, as well as in the creation of an environment that fosters the recruiting and retention of qualified hospital employees. Candidates for the COO position at the company's hospital must have a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field, with a Master's in healthcare administration or an MBA with a healthcare emphasis. A minimum of 4 years of recent hospital experience in managing multiple departments within an acute care facility is required, along with experience in physician relations or recruitment. The successful candidate will be proficient in written and verbal communication, have a proven ability to maintain effective working relationships, and possess knowledge of management skills, human resource principles, labor relations, and hospital economics. The COO will also be involved in organization-wide performance improvement activities and the planning of new services to enhance profitable revenue.
