About the Role

The Company is in need of a Vice President of Systems and Network Administration to oversee the management and maintenance of its critical systems and network infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of the IT environment that supports the trading desk. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining systems for trading, order management, and portfolio accounting, overseeing data center technologies, administering Windows servers, and related technologies, and designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure. The role also involves configuring and managing switches, routers, and firewalls, as well as monitoring system and network performance, and performing regular backups and recovery procedures. Applicants for the Vice President of Systems and Network Administration position at the company should have a minimum of 7 years' experience in IT systems administration and network engineering, with a strong background in data center technologies and Windows server administration. Proficiency in VMware ESXi hypervisors, networking technologies, and experience with Cisco and Arista switches and routers is essential. The ideal candidate will have a financial services background, a Bachelor's degree in a related field, and relevant certifications. The role requires a proven ability to manage and troubleshoot complex IT systems and networks, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience in hardening and securing servers. The candidate should also possess collaborative and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
