About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its mission-driven organization. The CFO will play a pivotal role in managing the financial aspects of the company, with a focus on sustainable financial decisions that align with the company's mission of investing in marginalized communities. This includes overseeing the accounting, finance, financial compliance, and treasury functions, as well as leading the development of high-performing teams in a lending environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for redefining financial practices, developing robust organizational reporting, and integrating financial planning and forecasting across the organization. Key priorities for the CFO include building a sustainable organizational structure, enhancing financial operations, and optimizing the financial performance of the company's diverse product offerings. The ideal candidate will be a strategic financial leader with a passion for social impact, at least 5 years of experience in a senior financial role, and a background in lending with a strong understanding of asset-liability management and fund accounting. Essential qualifications also include excellent communication skills, the ability to simplify complex financial information, and a commitment to social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a CPA or MBA being preferred, and previous experience within a financial institution, particularly a CDFI, is a plus.
