About the Role

The Development Director will be tasked with mobilizing resources through comprehensive fundraising strategies, including membership drives, major donor cultivation, online campaigns, foundation grants, and special events. They will also engage with donors and foundation funders, effectively communicating the organization's story and galvanizing support for its essential work. Applicants for the Development Director position at the company should have a minimum of 5 years' development experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a passion for reproductive freedom, exceptional communication and management skills, and a proven track record in development and fundraising. The role requires the ability to oversee all aspects of fundraising and donor communications, ensuring consistent and adequate funding to fulfill the organization's mission. The Development Director will work closely with the Executive Director, Development Associate, and grant-writing contractor, and will play a crucial role in advancing the organization's advocacy, organizing, political, and electoral efforts.
