This role is remote-based with frequent travel to key client accounts and industry events. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Sales Manager to join our client's team remotely and drive business growth for our natural food ingredients division.
Description
- Develop and execute a national sales strategy to drive the growth of our product lines, including fermenters, shelf life extenders, and dextrose. Identify and prioritize target markets and customer segments.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers in the food and beverage, and nutraceutical sectors. Act as the primary point of contact for clients to address their needs, provide solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Proactively seek new business opportunities through prospecting, cold calling, networking, and attending industry events and trade shows. Expand the company's footprint in the natural food ingredients market.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reports on pipeline status, account progress, and market trends. Ensure sales targets are met and exceeded, with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth.
- Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to align sales efforts with marketing campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for product differentiation and market expansion.
- Provide training and support to junior sales staff or distributors, ensuring they have the knowledge and tools needed to succeed in selling the company's products.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in relevant fields are a plus.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, with a focus on natural food ingredients, food additives, or related industries.
- Strong understanding of the food and beverage sector, including experience with fermenters, shelf life extenders, dextrose, and related products.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
- Experience with CRM systems, sales forecasting tools, and sales pipeline management.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and customer needs.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel as needed (approximately 25-30% of the time), including occasional overnight stays.
