About the Role

Odoo is looking to grow its engineering team by hiring a dedicated software engineer to support and enhance client solutions. Your role will be critical in facilitating seamless migrations to newer versions of Odoo while maintaining the integrity of existing deployments. You will tackle repairing code, maintaining solutions, and leading migration initiatives to ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the operational stability of client solutions within a collaborative team of business advisors, developers, and customers.
• Lead migration efforts of client solutions to future Odoo releases, ensuring smooth transitions and solution integrity.
• Take ownership of assigned migration projects and issues, providing high-quality, timely solutions.
• Design and implement effective, scalable integrations within Odoo or with third-party applications.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance software to guarantee reliable production performance.
• Emphasize and promote best programming practices, such as coding standards, thorough code reviews, and comprehensive test coverage.
• Provide technical support to improve and maintain customized solutions.
• Implement modification requests across various Odoo applications.
• Support migration and software refresh processes, including cloud-based database migration, troubleshooting, and collaborating with stakeholders for smooth execution.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• 1+ years of professional frontend experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, proficient in HTML, SASS/LESS, and CSS.
• 1+ years of backend experience with an Object-Oriented programming language (Python preferred).
• Strong understanding of database architecture and design concepts (UML, ERD, RDBMS).
• Ability to debug and optimize custom software solutions effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the capability to convey technical concepts to a varied audience.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills with team members, partners, and customers.

Nice to Haves:

• Professional experience in software development.
• Experience with Odoo or similar ERP systems.
• Strong technical communication and teamwork abilities.
• Background in SaaS or startup environments.
• Experience with Unix/Linux platforms.
• A proactive learning attitude with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
• Additional language skills (Spanish, French, or Portuguese preferred).

The estimated annual compensation range for this role is $90,000-$105,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as education, training, experience, professional achievement, business needs, and location.
